Emily McElmurry is a maker of things, painter and potter.   Living in Austin Texas since 1999 she has been raising her family, working as a mental health counselor and creating art.

 

Texture and simple design are the motifs of her work.  Items that are the focus of everyday use like bowls and plates are core to her collection of work.  Making pieces that are visually interesting and “make you want to touch them” is the goal.  Every piece is handmade and unique.
